Thanksgiving feast aftermath…. how to recycle your cooking oil

The devastation is complete.

The family has eaten that 20 pound bird and everything in sight.  You’ve been cooking like a maniac for a week. You look around the kitchen and there it is… the pans of cooking oil.

What can you do about it? You know throwing it down the drain is wrong.

Very wrong.

There is a solution.  In Jefferson County, there are 20 locations that recycle cooking oil and the county even offers residents a free container to put the oil in. They will not accept any glass containers and no fuel or motor oil.

This Thanksgiving holiday and from now on clean up after the big feast and meals throughout the year by recycling your oil and grease.
