Birmingham is home to the coffee lover and avid coffee patron so this list will give you a chance to reach your favorite drink potential. If you are looking for off the beaten path, Crestwood Coffee will be the perfect spot for you. With its chill atmosphere, you will feel right at home. This is a hangout spot for those looking for a new favorite place to drink up and snack on.

Yep, they do with their espresso beans. They also offer everything from Iced Lattes to Frappes.

Coffee Bar/Cyclist Shop. Woodlawn Cycle Cafe has an industrial vibe with a modern layout. They pride themselves on having the best espresso in town and investing in the Woodlawn community. They are definitely decidedly different. Check out their unique space for your next coffee journey.

All the way from Grand Rapids, Michigan. The name is Madcap and that is their go to Roaster.

This place revolves around bicycle culture, good food and good coffee.

Smack dab in the middle of East Lake, this place is for the vintage obsessed. Need a place that will make you feel more creative, come on down. With their awesome decor and fun atmosphere, you will be head over heels before you beloved cup of joe.

They offer Cold Brews Galore with some interesting flavors. Nectarine and Red Grape from Guatemala is a must try!

They get their coffee beans from Counter Culture which is based in Guatemala.

A regular cup of joe ranges from $1.50 to $2.50 with $.50 refills.

Fun Fact?

Not only are they a vintage coffee shop, attached next door is their Vintage Shoppe featuring many handmade items at reasonable prices.

This community coffee shop sits in the Avondale neighborhood. This friendly and inviting staff will help you choose the coffee perfect for you. You can tell they have quite a few regulars, from the college student to the elderly couple, they have a diverse group of patrons. They also have a killer cappuccino.

From Ice Coffee to Chai Lattes, they offer it all. They even got creative with some “Coldest items” that include Nutella Frosties and Coffee Milkshakes. Yum!

This coffee shop also gets their beans from Red Bike in Irondale. A fan favorite from the Buy Local campaign.

A go-to shop with many locations. This place is a favorite among the students of Birmingham. The great drinks bring them in and the cozy vibe keeps them coming back for more. It doesn’t hurt that they have a killer coffee shop playlist.

YES! at their Oxmoor Road Location. They get their beans from the Americas, East Africa, and the Pacific Islands and Indonesia.

Fun Fact?

Dr. Bright, O’Henry’s founder, had a little red roaster in the front of the store for a couple of years until they moved it to a warehouse to get their roasting business started.

A fan favorite near UAB. This place is the epitome of your favorite coffee bar. Add in the delectable lunches and brunches and you are set. Come in for the coffee and relax on their signature couch. I vote 10/10 on comfort.

Oh yes on the cold brews. From Ghiradelli inspired cold espressos to Coffee sodas this place has what you’re looking for.

Lucy’s is a fan favorite for the UAB community. Grads and undergrads, med students and nursing students alike love to hit this place up for lunch, study sessions and just to hang out.
