Citizens of Chilton County haven’t had a hospital or emergency room since 2013. That is about to change with the new St. Vincent’s Chilton County, a $40M new hospital with 30 beds and approximately 130 employees.

Well, here is one very good reason to vote on November 8th in Alabama.
Vote Yes on Constitutional Amendment 2 to protect Alabama State Parks funding.
Since 2012, $15 million has been transferred away (mostly guest fees) from our State Parks System causing a fiscal crisis. Constitutional Amendment 2 bans the transfer insuring that our State Parks are protected and permanently funded.

Checkout the inspirational story told by Birmingham’s Woodlawn High School teacher Tashina Lee and her students. Turning vacant lots into natural spaces, the Woodlawn community is working with the Nature Conservancy of Alabama to “return Woodlawn back to it’s glory days.”

New season, new players, and new apparel. With the expiration of UAB’s Nike contract coming to an end last summer, new apparel options were definitely on the mind of athletics director, Mark Ingram, and head football coach, Bill Clark.
The first ever city located TopGolf arena has been approved and will be available by the end of 2017.

The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s greek life is well known for their high philanthropic goals. Among these chapters, Alpha Xi Delta has been a powerhouse for donations when it comes to their national philanthropy, Autism Speaks. They have proudly raised more than $30,000 in the last year alone. This Fall, they plan to step it up (with a 5k to be exact).
